For this you need some everyday nail polish (the cheapest one you have, you can’t recover this again), a hard cutter like a sharp knife, and a glow stick. Match the color of your nail polish to that of the glow stick. It doesn’t have to be an exact match, but it should be the same general hue. If you like the results you can always try mixing more daring colors afterwards. You could also use a clear or white nail polish if you’re having trouble matching colors.

Next break the glow stick down the middle, carefully. Then cut it down the middle. Be sure to do this over a cutting mat with a lip or disposable waterproof sheet. Then pour one half of the glow stick liquid into the nail polish. Don’t get any on your clothes or sheets as it doesn’t come off. Cap the bottle and shake vigorously to mix the two liquids together. Note that this will permanently affect the color and texture of the nail polish, and that the glow in the dark effect will fade away over time.

Apply the nail polish to your nails with the brush as usual. Turn off the lights to see if it’s working. If the glow is uneven then the polish needs to be mixed some more, so cap the bottle and shake again.

Be warned that this nail polish takes a while to dry, so you should only apply a light coat. Also avoid biting on your nails, or eating with your hands while you have this on because glow stick liquids are not meant to be ingested.
